Dynepic Team Spotlight: Shelly Rios

Dynepic Team Spotlights are one of our favorite things to share, and Shelly’s especially hit the mark! A new hire to our team just a few months ago, Shelly dove straight in and made it feel as if she’d been here all along. As our resident Program Manager, Shelly has her hand in “a little bit of everything,” working hard to keep things running smoothly for Dynepic customers and our own team.

“This role is a great fit for me - I love to be busy!” Shelly shared. “Or, as my kids would say, bossy.”

That leadership and tenacity are the results of more than two decades as a medical nurse, including serving in the US Army reserves and on active duty during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After suffering a back injury while on tour, Shelly had to shift her career aspirations outside the military; a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, she forged a new path.

“Family is everything to me, and I know I’m exactly where I’m meant to be,” Shelly said.

Making the leap from nurse to Program Manager also required an open mind: “When I first learned of the possibility of working for Dynepic, I was very uncertain. I knew I wanted to do something different and challenge myself by getting out of my comfort box. But after learning about what Dynepic was accomplishing, I knew I had to jump. I wanted to be involved in something that would change the world and knew this would be the place to do it.”

Now that she’s been here a while, Shelly added that it’s also the Dynepic culture that really stands out.

“Dynepic is incredible. There is open communication, everyone is super friendly and helpful, and everyone works hard to get the job done. This is a team that is truly on the same path and all want to see the team succeed.”

Outside of work, Shelly is active in her local AMVETS group and church, is a proud “sci-fi movie geek,” and recently found a passion for Karate.

We’re proud to have you on Team Dynepic, Shelly!
